Since 1998 over 52,000 L200 units have been sold in the UK a staggering 20,499 units more than its nearest competitor, the Ford Ranger. Holding the title as segment leader since 2001, the current L200 is the undisputed King of the pick-ups. As well as a comprehensive support package, including a three-year/100,000 mile warranty, a three-year pan European recovery service and a six-year Anti-Corrosion Perforation warranty, the L200 Trojan comes with Mitsubishi’s proven 2.5 TD engine. This 2.5 litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel unit gives an output of 115bhp at 4,000rpm with maximum torque at 177lbs.ft at 2,000rpm. For those looking for a few more horses the Mitsubishi Power Upgrade Pack is available priced at £595 (plus VAT ™s signature Starlight Silver, Cosmos Black or Titanium Grey, metallic paint is offered at no charge. Factory leather seats are an option for those who want a bit more luxury at an additional £1,000 (exc. VAT). On sale from 1 November 2005, the L200 Trojan will replace all current high-series L200 models, except the popular Animal, and will run along side the all-new L200 range. Since its introduction, the L200 has become the embodiment of the business/leisure crossover vehicle.
